Modern High School for Girls Kolkata

Modern High School for Girls, Kolkata is a day school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) and offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) for classes XI and XII. Founded by B. M. Birla on January 3, 1952, the school holds a significant place in Kolkata’s educational landscape. The foundation stone was laid by the then Chief Minister of West Bengal, Dr. B. C. Roy, on December 9, 1957. Notably, in 1968, Malabika Chakravarty, a humanities student, achieved a historic feat by securing the top position across all groups in the higher-secondary examinations.

Campus
