Established in 1998 by educationists Pascal Chazot and Anju Musafir in collaboration with the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, Mahatma Gandhi International School, Ahmedabad (MGIS) is a leading co-educational international day school. Affiliated with the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE), UK, and the International Baccalaureate (IB), Geneva, MGIS was Gujarat’s first authorized IB World School, obtaining this status in November 2002. The school enrolls approximately 200 students from diverse backgrounds, including socio-economically disadvantaged students, whose education costs are covered by the foundation.

Campus

Situated in Ahmedabad, MGIS boasts a modern campus with facilities to support both academic and extracurricular activities. The school features a well-stocked library with over 7,000 books, spacious and well-ventilated classrooms equipped with modern teaching aids, and state-of-the-art science and computer laboratories. The school cafeteria provides nutritious meals prepared under hygienic conditions.

Academics

MGIS offers the IB Middle Years Programme for classes VI to X and the IB Diploma Programme for classes XI and XII. Additionally, the school is affiliated with CAIE and offers the Cambridge International Primary Programme for classes I to V. Hindi and French are offered as second languages for Diploma students. MGIS maintains strong connections with other international schools, fostering a global learning environment.

Extracurricular
